kbrophey@alum.rpi.edu BioI am more interested in being able to do everything passably than becoming expert at anything. I hate doing things I'm actively bad at, but I like to at least try and appreciate the same in others.
I have a lovely quiet life with my wife Tartqueen.
I'm an RPI alum working as a contractor in systems integration.
I like to think about and discuss things, ideas, and the world around us. My degrees are in Physics and Philosophy, though I tried to keep them apart. I am a skeptic in what I'll take as fact, but am open minded in what I'll consider and discuss. Modern physics is a tool for making useful predictions, and people who believe it must be the description of the actual world have taken it as religion (or at least metaphysics). Spirituality is real and is important, but is personal. I believe the world is deterministic and that people have free will and these ideas are coupled rather than opposed. This may seem like a series of disconnected, statements, but if you see the thread of them, you have some insight into me.
